 My son catches the elusive 3 pounder on Lake Fork- and the TFF finds my spot

Well, weekend before last my son takes the boat out to hit a couple of brush piles while I'm doing yard work and the picture tells the rest of the story. He had 11 crappie in the boat, none under two pounds and the one in his right hand hit 3 pounds and 1 ounce! For a few years, this has been a secret little hideaway about 100 yards from our dock. However...... This past weekend I meet our resident electronics guru, Fork Fish (Slade) with his Hummimbird rep. showing him some Texas slabs on our honey hole. Come to find out, ole Stubby, who I haven't met yet, has found the mother lode as well. Yesterday, Fork Fish was back with none other than Papa Mark! Lol, it was great to meet Slade and Mark yesterday and really enjoyed visiting with them. I was teasing Mark that Kaden caught that 3 pound crappie right under his butt the weekend before! Great guys and love meeting fellow TFF members, but my hole is secret no more! Nevertheless, 'ol Lake Fork is absolutely loaded with big white crappie, which is really crazy considering black crappie dominated our population until about 3 years ago. In all honesty, I think the odds of catching a 3 pound crappie are as good at Fork right now as they are anywhere in the southern U.S., except for the fabled Mississippi lakes. By the way, Kaden has had a 2-12, 2-13 and two at 2-14 in addition to the 3-1. I think I've created a monster!

wow looks like fork is full of 2 pounders. I think the next state record white crappie will come out of fork,.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
