And how many people who catch the big ones at Tawakoni using $1,000-$2,500 fish finders that show every fish in 3-D imagery, then lift a bait in the exact direction of the fish knowing about how far away it is, exactly what depth, and then act like great fishermen after they took every bit of the sport out of fishing? Might as well just call it catching. What sport is there in that since several people want to look down on jug liners and trot liners. Again, I am against commercial fishing, but see nothing wrong with people filling their freezer with fish for the year as long as they eat it all and it doesn't go to waste. Not everyone can live on the lake and fish every day. So when they go, they want food to bring back as well. And yes, I know you can buy it in the store, but lake caught catfish taste better than store bought. And it is part of a man's pride being able to provide for his family in the outdoors. NOT ME mine was $400

I've been approached by TPWD folks coming off Twak doing surveys on the lake and getting our input on implementing a slot for the blues much like the one on Fork for LMBs. I vote yes to implement the slot anytime I can. With that said I jug line, trot line, and rod and reel fish on Twak A LOT. I've only kept one 20 pounder (it was all I caught that day) but other than that I never keep anything over 10. They just don't taste as good, but man are they fun to catch. I am no lake preservation expert so I can't speak to what is good or bad for the lake when it comes to these blue cats. I do respect the guides and this being their source of income. They put smiles on people's faces and great memories in their heads and get to make money doing it. Wish I could do that. But I don't agree with attacking someone who took his kids out and made the same memories but instead of taking money home he took home many, many, many meals. I think ya'lls time and efforts should be directed more towards TPWD and getting that slot implemented. You guides have a big voice on Twak and should use it to do what you think is best for the lake.
For the guy who says he cuts jug lines; if I ever see you doing that to one of mine I will pursue you as if you stole the grocery cart out of my wife's hands as she was leaving the store. Well aren't you just the big bad wannabe interweb blowhard tough guy! Pursue all you want & you'll get way more than you can afford!

Again? This argument is getting old. For every fisherman that keeps a big fish I bet there's 2 that don't keep any. I have caught hundreds of big cats on taeakoni and never kept one. Haven't even kept an eater since 2009.
Best thing is to just move on. When/if TPWD decides thisnis an issue, it will be addressed. No need to cry about it.

Not a wannabe anything or trying to sound like a tough guy...just saying that if I'm fishing legally to put food on my family's table (not even keeping any trophy sized fish) and someone cuts my lines, then yes I will pursue you while contacting the local game warden to make sure you or any other criminal doesn't get away with breaking the law. Sounds like you're the one with blowhard tough guy issues.

jodyray, when folks seen stuff like this and seen a person's vehicle parked at a ramp that was fish selling and stuff like that they started disabling their vehicle and boat trailers when no one was watching. Might not want folks to know you're ruffling feathers like this cause they might start doing something like that to your stuff to make you find a different lake.
