 This huge drum(just shy of 10#) is stuffed full of zebra mussels. It's body is distorted it was soo full!! No more bad mouthing gooos!!!

Excellent. Finally something that will eat them. Looks like the shells are a little rough coming out. lol We may end up with a lot more goos in the lakes. I am good with that. They fry up just fine.

My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.

It is the bow record for Belton that I'm mounting for a client. I think I may have the original pictures somewhere!! I have also found a lot in some smaller blue cats.

Did you notice if the mussels were crushed? Curious to know whether the gaspergou are actually digesting the mussels, or just clogging themselves with shells.

I mounted a redear sunfish last year that was full of them also. I think some species will thrive off them.
