i hate the doing management on the water thing..who in the heck gave anyone the right to manage the waters of their natural species. i can only support bow fishing of invasive species
and the whole argument gar eat all the game fish is not true there have been studys that show the main forage for gar is roughfish, carp, buffalo and gizzard shad. and if the gar eat everything how come there are plenty of white bass and catfish in the trinity

And as far as your animosity toward bowfishing. I take it you don't like hunting deer, hogs, or fowl either? And probably don't agree with archery season. I don't have a problem with you fishing for carp or gar. Neither does the State of Texas. Nor do they have a problem with me fishing with a rod and reel or with a bow.
But thank you for your concern and opinion of what I do. Although unwanted negativity, and judge mental, it's your opinion. And If your from Texas, I'm sure You know what we say opinions are like. :-/
