WTF someone drove their boat through the creek ? You would think he has the whole lake to roam.

I have seen plenty of nice people with boats in creeks, there is a right and wrong way to most anything...

I only fish on days that end in Y!

Funny how it's always the wrong way.

Most in boats I've seen are looking for crappie. All of them that I have seen have been respectful of the bank fishermen. Some people are just oblivious to their effects on others.

The crappie were pretty thick a week or two ago, but I didn't see a single one pulled out Saturday, and the crappie fishermen in boats I talked to came up empty handed also. They've probably all moved back out to the lake.

I've seen two boaters come up and down in the last few days and they were both very respectful trying to stick to the far bank and using trolling motors. BUT I am blown away by seeing several waders walk up and down the creek casting right in front of me and others right in our line of casting like it's nothing. If it keeps happening I hope they don't get hit with a 8 oz saltwater weight.

And you may see a whole lot more now! I'm a newbie and I've gotten a lot of help from others, so I'm all for sharing information, especially over PM or on the water. But posting for everyone to see and being too exact can draw in plenty of folks who wouldn't normally put in the work to find these spots.

Point taken.

Why is no one fishing at the rowlett Creek bike trail on East Centerville road? I drove by there on Sunday, the water was quite high but no one was there :-/

Hit the creek last night around 5:45pm mainly to scout out some spots for this weekend. Ended up finding a bunch of males after 30-45 min of searching. Caught about 30-40 before it got too dark. Out of all those fish only 8 were big enough for my oven. One was a nice 13-14 incher. Not a single female in the mix. I'm thinking the big fat females are still a little behind schedule.

All fish were caught on a white rooster tail with a very slow retrieve.

There are two dams at miller rd for bridge construction. That, and not many fish came up past Miller last year even without the dams in place. Fishing has been producing down south, so nobody is checking to see how many fish made it over the dams.

It's odd. Almost all the females we've been catching are huge, and all the males are tiny.

Do you think the females maybe stop biting towards the end of the day? I'll be going this weekend early in the AM and hope to get a bunch of big females.

YEah!!! and the guy wading in front of people casting. You do it again and #1 you will have 2 ounce weights thrown at you and 2 your [censored] beat, it's called respect and knowing space. If you can cast all the way across the creek why go wading in there all around scaring the fish, I swear it took everything in my power not to go off on you. Just my two cents.

Nah, you just have to be where they are. They go wherever they feel like, whenever they feel like.
