I was wondering if fronts affect the spawn bite like they do at other times. I have no experience and will appreciate input from more experienced people.

Fronts effect crappie during the spawn more than they do any other time of the year. Just another reason why I rarely fish for crappie during the spawn.

The day of the front, they will move extremely shallow. The next two days afterwards, you'll generally find them stacked in 10-15 ft at the nearest creek channel or drop off.
