I have March 24,25,26,27,29,30 and 31 available! In April I have
1,3,4,5,13,14,16,17,18,19,22, and 23 available!

Lake Fork is setting up for a great spawn! Here in North East Texas we finally
received some much needed rain, which means the lake is rising and the timing
couldn't have been better! The current lake level is 399.64 which puts the lake at
-3.36 feet below pool. Although the lake is still around 3 feet low, the lake rising just
a tad over 3 1/2 has flooded alot of vegetation which offers great protection for this
years spawn. With more rain in the forecast IM betting we will see it continue to rise
and provide more places for these Lake Fork giants to hide their spawn!

The water is not the only thing rising, so are our water temperatures! We all know
what this means, it will not be long until we start to see giants cruising the banks looking
for just the right place to spawn. Just yesterday I saw water temperatures climb to the low
70's in the back of a few creeks. With water temperatures rising and the days getting longer
the females are staging there ways to the shallows, while the males are already shallow
preparing to do their job!

As fish start to make their way to the spawning flats they will stage in areas just a little
deeper, creek channels, ditches leading into shallow flats, and secondary points are great
places to target. Creek bends are always some of the best places to find fish staging, but
do not over look the big timber on the strait aways of the creek, they can be great targets for
a big bite! when fishing these areas do not be mistaken a drastic depth change is not always
necessary, sometimes a one or two foot depth change is all you need.

Texas rigged soft plastics such as Big Bite Baits lizards, flukes, yo mama, and craw worms
are great baits to use. A Santone jig is another great choice to get these Lake Fork giants to bite!
I like to use a 1/4 to 1/2 ounce Santone jig in black and blue with a black and blue Big Bite Baits
yo mama or fighting frog as a trailer or a Santone pinto beans and carrots with a green pumpkin
yo mama or fighting frog as a trailer. Square bill crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and chatter
baits can also be a great choice to catch pre-spawn bass. I like to use a 3/8 ounce Santone Got
Five spinnerbait in white or mean green color to slow roll around the shallow timber or a chatter
bait in green pumpkin with a green pumpkin Big Bite yo mama as a trailer. When using a square
bill a chartreuse black or blue back is hard to beat.

The spawn is getting very close here on Lake Fork and with the lake being in such great shape,
the fishing is getting better and better every day. There have already been several double digit fish
caught and lots of giant slot fish, the big girls are starting to bite! We are just days away from Lake
Fork showing what she is really made of and trust me you do not want to miss out!

I still have March and April dates available! Dont miss out on some of best fishing
Lake Fork has to offer!! You can reach me at anytime at (903)658-5822 to book your trip!

Here's a fat 5.68 lb bass from this morning about 8:15 that I caught on a senko style bait in about 3 ft of water. It rained from about 11 am until about 4:30 today and then the sun finally came out around 5:30.

Justin is one of the few I would call for a trip on Fork. Spent a couple days with him last year and learned a ton, and we caught fish in conditions where I had never really caught them before. He's also just a cool guy that is fun to fish with. Overall, one of the better guide experiences I have ever had.
