Worth the money. At first I was skeptical to pay that much now I have about 10 of them by accumulating slowly. Best part is the product support. That goes a long way with me.

Paragon series are my favorite rods- toughest rods I have ever owned.
The pg 104 and 104.5 are among the very best heavy cover or power fishing rods you can buy imo.
I have the cranking stick as well- it is nice too.

Oh and yes worth the money imo. The rod is very important, maybe more so than the reel, so it's a good allocation of money for quality products.

They are great rods. Super tough and hard to beat. The only reason I got rid of mine is the handle was a little on the thick side and was not the most comfortable FOR ME.

Thank you all for the kind words about Power Tackle rods. We truly do strive to build an excellent rod that you can depend on. djosselet, I would be happy to visit with you about our rods and get you to give them a try! Just give me a call!
Our warranty is not an over the counter one, or one that is a no questions asked...simply because we are a small company that builds a very quality product. If you do break a rod within the first 12 months, we will replace it for you for 50.00 + shipping. After 12 months, the fault usually lies with the owner of the rod or a unfortunate accident, In that case, we will gladly replace it for a fair price.

One more point...we believe that rod care is very important to your rod investment...we highly recommend that you use a product like a Rod Armorz or other rod sleeves to protect them during travel in the rod box or your truck.

We are very happy to now give a Rod Armorz rod sleeve with every Power Tackle rod ordered, free of charge.

I still love them, but they have slid down the charts to the #2 spot well behind the Loomis Green GLX's.

Jersey Our warranty reads if you break a rod within 12 months of the purchase, we will replace it for 50.00 + shippingif after 12 months we will evaluate it. Most cases we replace it for dealer cost.

You hurt me real deep Donnie, LOL. I will be the first person to admit that sitting behind a desk has made me too soft. I don't think I will be able to make it out to Austin tonight. I have some work stuff that will keep me from fishing tonight and I will also be out of pocket next week too (I will be in Lufkin of all places). I plan on figuring something out and bringing some weight to the scales on April 1st.

Back on topic, again Power Tackle Rods are great. Back when Austin had grass, I would routinely boat flip seven pounds of bass and five plus pounds of grass no problem with my Grass Mat Special.

Well worth the investment and ms Judy is great to deal with! Will be adding more because the 104 and 104.5 are jus not enough power tackle rods to have in the boat

What technique do you use the 104 and 104.5 for?

You can use the 104 for flipping, light swimbaits, jigs, c-rigs
The 104.5 is the ultimate flipping stick but is a very good A-rig rod as well as a heavy c-rig rods and swim bait
