I am hoping the admins will allow this hear considering the advice I am asking but i wanted to ask the fellas that target the same fish I do as to what they use or would recomend.
I am buying a new pontoon here in the next couple of weeks and with that comes a new fish finder. I must admit that i have minimal experience with the tecnology. The current unit I have now I mainly use for gps and depth as I do not have side scan.
My question is what FF do yall sugest I look into to fit my new boat with that will be best for side scan, gps and all around use. I am not to tech savy but I do catch on quick. I would like to buy a good unit that I will not have to replace in a few years.
Thank you fellas for.any and all advice. Good fishing to yall
If i dont suceed i will die trying

For sides can get the biggest you can afford. I prefer lowrance but it's a ford Chevy deal on which is best

I recommend HB, if for no other reason is it's side image is better in shallow water.
I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

I recommend the same as Tom did minimum Lowrance HDS-8 or bird 900 series and think you would enjoy and less likely to retreat a HDS-10 or 12 or bird 1100 series, it's alot of money but it think we'll spent. Wish I had done it when I bought the boat, that way I could have spread out the expense!
Catch and release into the grease!

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!
