Download the navionics app on your phone if you have a smart phone that will help you find locations. If I were you i would buy at least a kayak or little bass pond boat, that will open up a ton of crappie spots for you. Under the 185 bridge is real good because less people go there although it is tough to fish without a boat unless you want to stand on a bunch of laid down trees full of snakes bolt

Eichelberger bridge is doing really well but man is it packed with people right now. Get there early to try and get a good spot. They seem to be biting in the late evening and after dark. BTW

Went to the old bridge twice yesterday about 10 am to noon then 5 to 730p didn't get a single bite I tried fishing both of the fallen trees and the bridge pillars with a 1/8 jig under a bobber anywhere from 5 ft to about 18 inches any idea what I did wrong other people around me probably brought in 15 or so

By the old bridge, do you mean Eichelberger bridge? If so, try fishing deeper if your fishing off the bridge itself. Above is a pic of a jig I tied that I call "Old Faithful". I copied the colors off a plastic tube jig you can buy at Wal-Mart. It's a red head/green body/yellow tail. It's a killer jig on waco. Old man gave me a couple the very first time I fishedfoff that bridge and told me he uses nothing else for crappie. I caught a few fish that day and that color combo stays in my tackle box.

Yes eichelberger and I've fished down to about 5 ft deep I tried the crappie nibbles yesterday with no luck I'm thinking of trying lacey point today but the bridge seems to be so popular I don't want to give up on it

I was fishing 3-5 ft deep using minnows. I've never been taught the ways of jig fishing but that is a pretty jig texboxer. Maybe you can show me how its done sometime.

Crappie1041 I would try going alittle later in the evening at the bridges. The bite seemed to pick up after dark but thats just my opinion. It can be tough to fish that bridge when it gets so packed. Try trowing your jig or bait under the columns of the new bridge. There is a tree underwater at the base of the column closest to the waco city side of the bridge if that makes since.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
