What are some really good hooks for catching crappie when fishing with minnows? Thanks in advance.

You can be like bass fishermen and use treble hooks.

I use a 1/0 bronze aberdeen hook, I know guys that use a 2/0 and small as a #2....

Ok..I will try those too and see which one's have the best hook up ratio

Try these...

Matzuo Aberdeen sickle hooks. They have them in different colors and sizes. Nothing sharper than the point of a sickle hook.

I tend to use a #2 or #4. Many people think that's too small. My thinking is that small of hook won't be too gaudy and it wont make bait look unnatural.

I like the #2 Matzuo sickles for minnows, though I very rarely fish with plain minnows anymore.

I use 1/8 oz jig head with #2 Matzuo sickle hook. Slip the knot to the back of the eye,hook the minnow thur the lips and add Chartrues crappie crack on the tip of the hook. Now that's just me.

For minnows I use the Eagle Claw true turn hooks they sell at Wally World.

Any hook that has a crappie on it.
