That Barry Stokes show on Fox Sports is pretty good. He's been around a long time.
Cheers,
George My favorite fishing show for a few years now. Along with honey hole. I remember a long time ago 15+ years Barry hosted Outdoor Trails. DFW Outdoorsman is a good show for hunting and fishing in my opinion.

I just posted a thread on the "Bass" fishing forum soliciting opinions on what would make a good show. I know you have to advertise products to make the show but couldn't they do something (like actually TEACHING something) and make it less obvious on their product placement. Jeez, fishing shows are horrible. I will watch them as that's all that there is, so that's (maybe) better than nothing. I've wondered if a fishing show could be done with some educational content with more subtle product placement. As an analogy, I loved the show the Soprano's. I liked the show because of the story line but it had more product placement in it, than any other show I have ever watched. The difference is the people that wrote that show KNOW how to do product placement without detracting from the content of the show. Fishing shows are absolutely horrible at it. I was watching one (for some reason this example sticks in my mind) and on every show, the guy had to deploy his "Talon's". He actually said, "Well, let me TALON down here, to keep us on this spot." Really? Does anybody actually say "Talon down"?

So correct. I used to be a fan of Billy Dance because he always included some instruction and seemed to always land one giant each show.
He had me going for like 3 years. Then one day I realized, he only fishes stocked private ponds.
I don't think he has ever in his life caught a bass less than 4 pounds, or atleast it seems that way on his shows There aren't many fishing shows that I like to watch anymore but I am hooked on Major League Fishing like crack I liked Ultimate Match fishing before that but MLF takes it up a bunch of notches
