With both our kayaks in the garage and all the creeks and rivers over flowing with water, my son and I decided to take the short walk to the back woods of the subdivision and fish the small pond with the fly rods. It was a great distraction and a productive distraction. All in all 10 blue gills out, 10 blue gills back in the water to fight another day. Ran into a small visitor, but went on our way and made it back home for dinner.

Priceless times as always when you get the chance to fish with your son. Looks like you caught some fat Gills. Good job.





As for the snake. Great reminder that snakes will be out and to watch your steps.
