what are you looking for to find a hard bottom on your screen? is there a certain adjustment to the sensitivity you use? what colors represent a hard bottom and a soft bottom?

If you are on 2D, there should be a color bar on far right of screen. Color on top is hardest return. Obviously bottom is softest. Palette I use yellow is hard return

A second echo return below the main one on the left side also indicates a harder bottom.

A deeper red (stronger echo) and a double echo is what I use. Here is a reading from this weekend that shows a transition from hard/double echo, to soft, and then back to double echo. I was out testing my new Helix 5.
