Caught fish sporadically all over the Nolan. More fish will be there soon. Temps will get them going next week.

Gonna be out there the next 2 days. Should be able to find the big groups with the side imaging and structure scan. Then slow it down. Never used it to find sandbass.

Thanks for the updates.

Has anyone used the Nolan River Park boat ramp lately? That seems like the most convenient place to launch from.

Don't launch there. The neighborhood crime watch group doesn't patrol that area. There's no one out there to hear your window breaking.

Oh. And the game wardens were on the prowl. Checked every boat I saw including me. So if you go be sure you are all legal.

Need one more good rain. There have been a few mags in the Nolan last few years. it's really been four or so though that we have had one of those great runs. At least I hope one more really good rain will get them there!

Fish cooperated today. Fish were hitting a chewed up number 8 hook, bead chain eyes with a couple strands of crystal flash. They chewed up 4 clousers today. Channel cats were schooling. They were eating a fly just like the sand bass. It's was every other cast on channels. The channels were all about 3 pounds. Going back Thursday. Will post Thursday. Cheers!

I just made a post, Whitney Report. Should have put it here. We put in at Kimble Bend, went south, caught 13 nice keepers.
