It has been slow around tin top so far, but maybe with the warming weather and decent flow some will show up. the last couple years have been rather slow with the low water levels, but have had a few good days. I may fish it tomorrow afternoon if I have time and will post a report.

Fished 30 minutes and caught 5 at Tin Top. Mostly small keeper males. Looks like it is getting started.

I was told that you can only fish the Brazos from a boat bc it's all private land on the banks. Are there any walk in areas? I called the Brazos River Authority and got the run around and now waiting for somebody to call me back.

No water in the creeks unless we get a gully washer, so fish the main lake wherever you throw a bait and there is sand or gravel in the next 6 weeks you should be able to catch them. Welcome to the area.

Welcome to W'ford! Weatherford Lake actually has a pretty healthy sandy population. Fish the dam on the far side of the lake. With a spoon you should be able to reach them. Good luck

Just got back from Tin Top .... not much happening.... carp in the sandy shallows... few catfish on cut bait.... didn't even suspect the presence of sand bass although I walked the banks up and down looking for them. A nice lady\game warden stopped by to check licenses but I'm sure she was taken by my cute 4 year old daughter so much that I could've gotten away with illegal fish murder. Nice to have good game wardens around...
