Suffix Seige is the best and tuffest line I have ever used. Very low memory. I have had my bass reels put up for months and throught the a few time and the line is as nice as when it first came off the spool.

Trilene 15lb Big Game. For 20 yrs. You can hang up on the bottom and drag the boat backwards . True story..... I was spooled up with 17lb. Trilene XL and I was fishing with a buddy in a Club Tournament when his trolling motor went out. He said, "we'll just let the wind drift us across the grass, but if you get hung up, just break it off!" Sure enough, I get hung up and tried to break it off. I wound up pulling the boat (backwards into the wind) for about 30 yards and got my bait back. I sent Trilene a letter telling them what I did and they sent me two 3000yd. spools of Trilene XL. (12lb and 17lb) Didn't have to buy any line for 3 years!

Big Game. Maybe better line out there but never have I thought I needed something different in 20 plus years. It does have memory so if I am not fishing a lot or using certain rods often I will stretch out the line. Also stretch it out first time I put new line on.

Truth be told, there's not a bad brand in the bunch. Some will just fit some anglers uses better than others. I know this is a little off the radar, but for lines from 4-20 lb test, Ande has some of the stoutest line going. They primarily target the salt water crowd, but their "bass class" line is good stuff and priced competitive with other brands.

I have been using McCoys Mean Green since 2000 and have straightened out #4 hooks on a CB before with it. It does NOT have a memory problem, like mono, because it is a copolymer line that floats. It has a good amount of stretch to it and is abrasion resistant as all get out. Good stuff for all moving baits and 20# for slow moving baits. I do NOT use it for C-rigs, as it is a little too much stretch for me, but I use Big Game or Maxima for that application. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
