Without the rattles. Wondered if they have a time and a place where they work better than the ones with rattles.
I know Bill Lewis makes some, not sure of any others.

Ive thrown them behind people throwing ratltraps, had decent luck. Just something different, when fish see 1000 traps a day that rattle (like here on rayburn during the winter) just gives them something different.

Never thrown silent traps, but a few years ago on Falcon when the bite was getting BAD, I started throwing a silent series 3 crankbait and it out fished every other crankbaits in the boat, and beat our totals for the previous days. Could have just been coincidence, but I think there is something to it.

All Cordell Hot Spots used to be silent. On some, the nose weight would rattle loose and start making noise. Guys noticed that at times the fish preferred the ones that rattled. Other times not.
Now you know how all that stuff got started.
(Bill Lewis got rich because of it)
