Go to www.tote-um-gear.com and check out the tote-um-pole. I saw this advertised on TV while down in Baton Rouge on business earlier in the week. I immediately ordered 3 of them. Just got them delivered today. Pretty neat device.

This looks like just what i need - are there any updates, ie is it proving durable and quality made?

Also can you connect and disconnect it easily from a bass boat deck?

Hey redfin: Will it actually mount on your boat. I was thinking about something like this for my partners rod ramp. Now that you can put your hands on it do you think it would fit there?

Well I be jiggered.Sure wish I had one of those when I used to fish the south jetty out of Galveston.Slipped quite a few times, broke a few rod tips and got a hook stuck in my hand once. Also wish I had thought of that idea then I could afford to pay someone else to carry my poles for me. I've bungied up to 6' single piece rods and a 2 piece 12' rod to a backpack before and it has worked fine.As long as I had at least a 10' height clearance. If I tried lowering the rods any they would poke me in the back quite often. But that design seems to cut the height problem down.Great idea!!The portable stand feature is nice to.Whenever your fishing-buddies make fun of you for using it before or doing a long hike to a fishing spot. And when they start to head back after a long day(especially with a heavy stringer of fish) and they ask you if you have room to carry one of there poles.Charge them a $1 and I BET YOU'LL GET YOU MONEY BACK IN NO TIME. !Gotta Go!-!!I've Gotta Bite!! Go to the site and read about the many places it will mount, including the boat, the truck, just about anywhere you want to mount it.
