When fishing live bait what is the angle preferences 0 degree, or 5 degree on drift master rod holders for striper fishing. So many options these days. Lol. Thanks for any input.

Temptess marine
Angle is adjustable and won't rust or seize up.

0 degree 1/2" driftmasters with stainless bases or if you have to use aluminum bases put tef-gel on the threads.

I can troll or use live bait with the pro 1/2 stem. can tie the boat off at the dock, use it as a hand hold, wrap line around it to break off when hung up so bad I can't retrieve it. be sure to get left hand thread bases and holders for the port (left) side of the boat.

These in any size work just fine and at any time they adjust rather quickly if you have good reflexes. grin

Folbe.

Not well known down here but awesome rod holders. Rod comes straight up out of the holder. No pulling it forward first. Just grab the fore grip and come straight up.

Cabelas sells a really slick rod holder. Called the Quick Draw, it pivots at the rear allowing you to set the hook.

+1 Kerry! fished with DTA today and he had a rod on a holder(why u ask? Heck if I know!) and he missed several due to the fact(his words)that the fish wouldn't hold on to the jig or slab long enough for his tired old bones to get to it and set the Hook! When he was holding it with the rod holder similar to the one pictured above, NO PROBLEM!
