are they not going to spawn in the creeks this year because of the water temps so cold this late in the year?? Anyone with historical perspectives because I don't recall these water temps this late in the season.
My fish is bigger than yours!

Water temperature, while a factor, is not that important overall. Length of day and adequate water flow are more critical. Fish are and have been making a run even in cold water temps.

They will run. Couple creeks in area already have the "advance scouting party" males in them. And for those with a sense of adventure(mud, cold wind, rain, etc) ARE catching them, but not talking

I have only caught a few so far in the creeks, they are late, but will make a run soon. Everything is just delayed a few weeks.

Rudy is correct went to a local creek yesterday and fished for about an hr. Didn't keep any fish since I was just scouting. But did manage to catch 10 sandies (lost a few at the bank), threw all of them back and I must say they were anywhere between 12-15" and fat! It was slow but the water was flowing nicely! Sorry no pix since I didn't wanna pull the phone out to take a pic on a slippery slope. I was using a 1/16 pink jig head and 3" fluke and pretty much lettin it go all the to the bottom and bouncing it off the bottom. Will be goin tomorrow again.
