There should still be some trout in there. I've had luck lately with olive hares ears and BWOs. Sadly I haven't managed much other than some sunfish, small cats and small bass out there for a while.

I haven't been up there in a long time. Please let us know how you did.

Is the water up enough to get to Rochelle's?

I think the TP&W has a river flow chart that you can view online...although I don't remember where. If you can get permission to put in behind the hatchery, you should get into some remaining trout action from there to the first dog leg left about a mile down (possibly as far as the next right bend) concentrate on the deeper holes (not the riffles)...After that catfish is your main fishing target. If the water is up (you can catch stripers) all the way down. They used to flow water once a day which made the trip easier (in a canoe)...but you will have a couple stretches where you will have to pull the yak/canoe (so take a rope) We used to make it an overnight trip...get there in the afternoon and spend the first night right around the bridge or down river to the dog leg left trout fishing for dinner. Trout fish early the next morning (for the next evenings meal) then push off down river at a slow pace till we got to the flat area on the right where it is 6 ft above the river (camp there overnight) and fish that general area for cats and stripers. Then go on in to Rochelles the next morning. It is a really nice easy pace with lots of fishing involved. Very scenic and very relaxing...not many folks to worry with.

Incidentally, take a light spinner, a medium spinner and a light weight fly rod if there is little or no flow...otherwise your rod selection sounds good.
