Just purchased a new boat. (To me). And the trolling motors way to small. Last boat I had had a 109 motor guide on it. I was just wondering if anyone had any input on the I-pilots or is it not worth it.

They do lots of things, don't care to much for the bracket ,it difficult to stow your motor away, just make shure you add a troll motor tie down, if they aren't secured in bracket they can pop out running down the lake and its bad news, right charlie

All ya gotta do is move the collar down on the shaft and they can't pop out.
Love my iPilot. I've got a 112 volt Terrova right now going to upgrade to a 112 volt Ulterra as soon as they are available.
Semper Fi This Veteran heavily medicated for your safety. Keep me fishing and all will be well.

The ulterra is self deploying. Push a button and it slides into or out of the water. It also raises and lowers the height in the water with a button instead of manually loosening and tightening the collar. This commercial shows what the ulterra will do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5ejwRj9t1Q

On my terrova I must push a lever on the unit and slide it in manually. Depress the lever and grab the head of the unit to pull it out. It does not have a cord or cable to pull.
The hourly is great ţo do what I do. Too give me the ability to kick in a spot to fish and then only need to worry about fishing and not boat control.
You would probably want one with ilink on it. It is pretty expensive to add. That will let you connect to your hummingbird and then you can set it up to autopilot you around the lake at a post depth, working on the contours from your mapping software. Say you want your boat to stay on 15ftw it will keep you there all the way around the lake. You just need to set the speed.
For me it is my favorite piece of equipment that I have bought to date. In stumps some don't like the electronic steer because there is a delay as opposed to cable steer. I never got very proficient with cable steer so I won't see it. I will see being able to change less lures without my boat crashing into the rocks while I am busy.
Ask for someone in your area to take you out and give you a test run so you can decide what you like the most. I know that I already see it as an aid to launch the boat alone. Will save me time and effort to send it out and lock it while I park. I am sure others behind me will appreciate me being a little faster in getting in and out of their way
