I put out some x-mas trees about a month ago.Went sat to see if they were holding any fish. This is what happened,I had a gps marker on the trees (a way point). The closet the unit will get on arrival alarm is 25'.After making a couple of passes the unit showed the trees (200/83).I threw a bouy marker out to the side, not to the trees, but to one side about ten feet from where i marked the trees. This unit doesn't read well at slow speeds (HB support said 2 to 6 mph).Well anyway,I wasn't there to fish. So I took a worm rod and threw all around the area,no trees. What did I do wrong? My old 700 series would read at real slow speeds. I sold it. Transducer is on the back. Yes it's installed correctly,I go way back.Look at pic,LOL. That's the 2nd unit I bought. Didn't try DI,strictly a 2D question.

I just bought the same unit and I and I haven't had any problems so far except having to upgrade the trans ducer to a HD for the SI imaging....I don't see a 899 pic and cant see the pic on the old paper graph.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
