I will be in Leander March 9-12 at the in-laws. I am bringing my Yak and want to try some new waters. I would like to try The Colorado below Austin, anyone want to join?

Lake Bastrop is great that time of the year. The Colorado River up from Bastrop (launching from Fisherman Park) is also a very popular stretch. Of course there's always Lake Austin and LBL.

I fished with you on town lake last year during spring break. I live down here now but unfortunately my spring break is a week after the dfw spring break this year. I went out yesterday though and even after all this weather I managed two. Saw lots of beds but most were vacant I bet a few warm days and they will move back up on them. The two I snagged were hanging in brush just off the bank or on grass mats that were still there. Caught on shaky head with a zoom trick worm my go to this time of year.
