5 bites all day and we know the lake well. We landed all 5 too. Unfortunately only 3 were bass. I did catch a 5 lber with 30 minutes to go and we would have had a little over 9 pounds. We turned them out and didn't weigh.
What a hard day of fishing and congrats to the teams that managed a limit. R C is a much better lake than it put out yesterday. Great tournament and I wish more tournaments would consider this lake if it fills back up ever!
18 and change won with 17 and change 2nd. Big bass 8 something

Fished the lake for the first time Saturday. All day not a single bite. Major beat down. Now get to finish the season on lakes we know.

Fished the lake for the first time Saturday. All day not a single bite. Major beat down. Now get to finish the season on lakes we know. It was as tough as I've ever seen it. Come on back sometime it owes you one.

I'm up to fishing it again. Was not to worried about fishing a new lake for a tournament when I knew weather could change everything. We spend all our fishing time on just a couple of lakes and need to branch out some. Richland Chambers, Palestine and Twok are on our hit list.

Big ole RC is one of the better lakes around north Texas. It can and will be feast or famine even for the boys that know it well. Only lake that I have put a ten and a nine in the boat on back to back cast. Of course it was on a practice day.

It has come up a foot over the past couple of weeks, creeks still flowing and more rain today.

After looking at tournament results from Fork, Tyler and other lakes in the area it appears the cold weather resulted in a poor showing at a lot of area lakes.

I hope the Bud Light Trail will go back to what was working for them the first year they kicked off their trail. The first tournament at Richland Chambers that year had close to 60 teams. I saw that the tournament this past weekend only had 16 teams. Very sad to see the decline in teams per event. I know of a few teams that decided not to fish anymore because of this decline.
