Great job to James and Jeff, tough tourney that stumped some of the locals and usual consistent AOY guys, but these Texans figured it out!

Thanks guys. It was a great week. I caught my fish flipping reeds with a big stick & braid. Flipped a new Xcite Hogalicious creature bait. That was how I had 19lbs. They were bedding bass you could not see. My co angler also had 19lbs. Once my bed fish were burned up & a cold front came in I started cranking. I threw a silent Xcite XB-1 square bill on riprap with current. I even used the fairy wand to mop up.

Nice report. Great to See a North Texas guy with the tools to fish all over the country and do well. And using North Texas Baits! Good job Xcite baits.

Thanks everyone! After a so so practice I caught my fish on beds flipping a bass kandi Texas craw the first day for 14.80lbs
Day 2 the weather changed with a northern blowing in and I was able to cast a tight lines uv senko to cat tails and Kissimmee grass points to catch 18.1lbs. Day 3 was a grind with a north wind I changed patterns again fishing drains in canals with a tight lines uv senko and a Santone finess jig for 12.3lbs. We are off to Lewis smith lake in 2 weeks. Off with the braid and bring on the 6lb test!
