What a grind today on Bob Sandlin but it was profitable. Richard Altman and I managed to win the Media Bass Northeast division tournament today with only two fish. Granted, they were two big fish, but, with a weight of only 12.24, you would think that we wouldn't even cash in most cases. As it happened, it only took 6.99 to get a check. The bite was terrible as high pressure set in and calm water made the bass want to run and hide. We had big bass with a 7.73 and I was thrilled with the outcome. We used a modified Arig, mostly because they wouldn't hit anything else, and focused on water in the five to ten foot range. A lot of casting to earn our $2400. Looking forward to the Bass-n-Bucks next Sunday on Fork.
