I've fished Canyon since 1966, pre filled of course. Don't know how "The Well" escaped me, but it did. What and where if you don't mind, please?

Are they talking about the big spring up river from the mouth? I've never heard of a fishing hole called the well either and like wgpj I've been around Canyon many years...

Must be past the dinner plate. I searched Navionics and couldn't find it either. Might go see if I can't find it Sunday.

WOW! He already gave you way more info then he needed to. He has eliminated all of the lake and all of the river to just the mouth of the river and told you what he caught them on.

Sorry; I'm very appreciative of the info. Just never heard of a place called "THE WELL", that is all I was interested in. I don't fish for whites anyway. SORRY if I seemed overly assertive that was not my intention at all.

I think he is speaking of a well/spring in the westside of the lake that runs most of the time and the water temperature is warmer that the lake temperature this time of year and attraction fish.

The Well, is a spring that is almost never visible because the lake hardly ever gets as low as it is. You go up river and look for the first house on the left. They have a small gravel boat ramp at that house. Approx. 50 yards to the left of that boat ramp in about 3 feet of water is the well. You can't miss it right now as it is roiling up out of the water about a foot or so.

The well/spring that I am most familiar with is in the vicinity of Mystic Shores Park.

Fished the main channel up river trolling minnows and casting a Sebile Spin shad caught 18..
several balls in the main lake a few miles upriver. A friend of mine was out and fished the back of a few coves trolling a Lucky Shad and caught 20

Isn't main lake and upriver two different spots?

How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?
