Has anyone used a side imaging transducer on their trolling motor?

Yes sir!! The side scan up front is great BUT, man the new electronics from RayMarine and Garmin are surpassing the side scan technology. They look at each side and AHEAD....and that's what is great.
Look on here at the thread Bradshuflin aka hunter'sdad, just posted about his new Garmin unit.
These two companies are going to force Lowrance and Humminbird to come out with newer and even better equipment, key word 'within' the affordability of the average fisherman!

I use Side Imaging at both ends of my boat. It's my primary source of sonar data. My secondary source for sonar data is 360 Imaging.

I would say that the 360 is ALOT more affordable than the Garmin forward looking ducer. We need real world usage from it as well to see if it's really good or not.
