they have never closed them for ice or low water before.its some kind of runaround.they dont even care to mark hazards on the water.they dont care if you fish or not.

They are fixing to sell it so they are crossing all their T's and dotting all their I"s because they don't want any tragic event to happen that might ruin the sell. . Like Doug said they don't ever do that. What else could it be?

Just drove across Rowlett creek on George Bush and its a roaring river. Also the creek by Waterview is up and running. Haven't seen that in a long time. Hubbard should come up another 2ft after this wet spell is over.

Anyone know if the terry boat launch is useable and does it cost to launch there. I hate the idea of having to pay to launch. Might be learning the crappie thing on lavon if they don't have any free ramps open on hubbard anytime soon....

The last time I fished (dec) it was no where near usable. I would guess the lake would need to be 5ft low or less.

Hey all, just got off the phone with this number: 214-670-8281. The man said that they have gotten many complaints about people damaging their boats on the rocks. I have only been the second person making a case for that ramp to be opened back up. He is the middle man from that phone number listed above. He takes all the requests and gives them to upper management. He told me more calls for the ramp to open will only help our case. I also stated that their is a sign that is posted and it says " launch at your own risk". This tells me that if people damage their boats its on them not on dallas. So, pls more tffers call and ask for the east Robertson ramp to be reopened.

Called and spoke with Mark for several minutes. The ramp was closed because people complained about damaging trailers and boats due to the drop off at the end of the ramp. I confirmed that was a problem toward the end of summer and was the reason I stopped using the ramp in Sept. I also let him know that we just surpassed the water level at this time last year with the lake up over 3 feet since Jan 1. He had just taken new pictures today to document the water level compared to when the barriers were installed. I asked if they could use concrete bags to fill the drop off or lessen the depth. They have used them to build seawalls at other locations on the lake. The concrete cures in the bag. He is relaying the information upstream and asked me to call him back next week.

Just called the number and the person I talked to said she was told the ramp is scheduled to reopen but she does not have a date the crew will get there to do so.
