Also in all honesty if we are truly wanting to adopt a true trophy fishery we need to have a system setup similar to the share lunker program for bass, for those who don't know about the SAL program basically during the prespawn months any bass over 13lbs can be given to the state, you get an award and the offspring get distributed to the lake where the fish was caught as well as many other lakes
Now if a program like this was adopted for trophy catfish the limits would probably have to be set around the 65-70+ range and the amount of room required for a dozen or so 70lb Blues might be more of a hassle and not cost effective when compared to the SAL program
That would be the best way to ensure its a trophy fishery by eliminating the 10-15lb stunted growth fish from spawning with the trophies
 fish to live and live to fish
