About 2 weeks ago on a Saturday before the last string of cold fronts hit, my brother was out there fishing from the banks. He caught 14 on minnows and they were a nice size too. He said everyone was catching alot, boats and kayaks where going up and down river from his position and bringing back a limit of fish. We wanted to go back on Sunday but the high was 44 degrees and it was raining. We havent tried to go back as everyday since then its been cold or raining. I was curious is the whites would have still been running after just one day of cold weather.

Id say wait till warmer weather before trying for whites again on the Bosque rivers. My brother and I went in the evening and stayed passed dark about 2 weeks ago on the South Bosque. We didnt see any signs of fish and nothing was biting. With the rain we had I imagine the rivers are still muddy also. The end of next week looks more promising with highs hitting the 70's. I think we will need a week of those conditions to start the run. I know there are white bass in the area but they dont seem to be feeding hard or moving.
Its was funny as we were leaving the South Bosque with all the high power leds I have on the boat there were white bass jumping out of the water as we drove. Then we would stop and throw out the lines but nothing. I know they were white bass because they were so close to the boat, they were little babies but still we couldn't manage to even get a bite.

I fished the Navasota last year and I know what 254fishin is talking about. I like to know where I could get my bass boat in the river. there was a 20ft center console in there last year.

You can get there from the main lake but its a pain idling through all the stumps and shallow water...Once you get to the main river it gets deeper and wider...

Thanks, I think I will go over there in the summer and mark a trail. I have a bass buster that I used last time. If anyone get's a report on how muddy the area by the bridge is let me know. I do not have 4 wheel drive in my expedition.
