Are all Left handed bait caster star drags left handed threads? How many people use both left and right handed bait caster reels ?

Yes. All of my left handed reels have a counter clockwise drag star. And I have about a 50/50 mix of left and right handed reels.

I use only left handed baitcasters and they all have a counter clockwise star drag. Also have several spinning reels, all with the handle on the left side. Personal preference from my early years of bass fishing (I'm right handed).
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

I just got my 1st left handed bait caster, allway's used a right handed,I don"t understand the idea of the counter clockwise drag.
