Depends on how you like to fish.
Right now, it's drains and mouths thereof.
Sight fishing and other spawning techniques are typically great from late Mar thru late April.
May-June is my favorite for sheer numbers. Of all shapes and sizes on about anything you like to throw.
Late June through early Aug offers some of the BEST deep structure fishing available in the country.
September-October sux due to turnover. November can be lights out, and the cycle begins anew.
Next 5 day trend of nights in 50's and days in 70's, late May and mid July would be my picks for weeks to consider.
If it still got cold in December-January, that would be my favorite. Mark Pack guided me and friends on some insane trips back then. Little George, a 3/4 oz. CC Spoon and a Big Salami were our baits of choice.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

IMO...My favorite time would be Mid April - Mid June, Fish really get into patterns and the weather is pretty stable with very few if any cold fronts to change them.
You just really never know till you go !

Well I'll be dipped in...Marc, no matter what, kindred spirits always find a common bond. Can't think of a better time to be on Fork than that!

I think the spawn will be great for the next few weeks if we can get some warm weather and sun. I was there Sunday thru Tuesday and it sucked. The cold fronts and ice shut everything down.

if you only get 1 week to fish fork, and you want what most do that come here (a giant), then the full moon in april would be my pick. it's in early april.

You may want to consider big tournaments that may be happening.
