Fished weightless it's only a Yamamoto for me, but if you add any weight to it the action is completely changed and then I'll fish the knock offs.

I always love hearing someone say, well it's as good as blah. If you are comparing with blah then it is not as good as blah. One only compares with the best and senkos are the best.

I don't think you'll find much of a difference in sink rate when comparing to other brands. At least not enough to make a huge difference in most circumstances. But like several others have said, they just seem to out perform the competition time and time again. The only other brand I still buy occasionally is Top Shelf. They have a couple unique colors that I've had some success with in certain situations. They are a little more durable and have a really good wiggle, but if I'm fishing a color they both make...then I will ALWAYS be throwing the original!

There's some truth to that. It is one of the few baits that I have tried a lot of though. But when it comes down to it and it's tourney time I always fish a GY senko.

I do know this--5 or 6 years ago, I was catching quite a few fish on senkos. Due to cost, I switched over to the BPS and Yum brands, not thinking changing brands would change effectiveness. What happened? I lost faith in senko-style baits b/c they weren't nearly as productive for me. Last year, I changed back to Yamamoto--catching fish on senkos again. Convinced me.

I haven't tried a Senko vs. a Yum dinger but I will do that soon. I have caught a lot of fish on a Yum Dinger. They work very well for me.
I will wacky rig both side by side and see what happens.

Yamamoto does it right. No they don't last long, yes they're heavier, yes they sink faster. I don't know why they work better but I've seen it way to many times beat out the other brands. The big bite are the worst imo. I can get maybe two fish out of a yamamoto. Kevin,I saw the difference at a Cleburne working man with Jordan and I was throwing a watermelon candy yum with no luck, switched to yamamoto and put three fish in the boat and used two senkos doing it haha. That's not the only time I've seen the difference either. Have a buddy fish a differnt brand same color and you fish the Yamamoto. They'll eat that Yamamoto over the other brands. Fished weightless it's only a Yamamoto for me, but if you add any weight to it the action is completely changed and then I'll fish the knock offs. ^^^^This, but...... I've always used Senkos when fishing weightless. Don't mind saving money using others weighted, especially on C-Rig. Senkos actually feel kinda dead on a C-Rig, and have had better luck on the knock offs. That said...If you haven't tried Big Bite Super Soft sticks, you should. Totally different from the regular Trick Sticks. Big Bite Super Sticks

They definitely sink faster and you can cast them further weightless with bait caster. better action too. I use yamamotos first, when i run out I go to yum dingers
