If you could pour a senko knock off that has the action and is as soft as a senko.

Probably 65% of all my plastics are hand poured by a friend in Arlington.

The reason I said it will cost you more than that to make is don't forget you will have to pay Texas State sales tax and 10 percent F.E.T. on each bag you make. With the cost of raw plastic, colorant, glitter, oils and scents and bags and labels you will be hard pressed to break even. I am not trying to stop anyone from getting into the soft plastic bait business just trying to give them the heads up on unseen costs they will incur doing it. The most enjoyment is making baits for a special request for custom colors that the customer can truly call their own. They will get a custom poured/hand injected bait that only they will have as their Secret weapon! PM Bovine if I can be of any help

PM Bovine if I can be of any help Notes: 1) The F.E.T. may not apply to "re-cycled" material 2) State sales tax most likely would if there is a registered business, in situations such as this most often isn't the case. 3) With "re-cycled" plastic the overhead cost of supplies is drastically reduced. 4) On a monthly basis we estimate the amount of waste to ave 60 lbs that we destroy and it really pains us to have to. The problem with selling the waste is you have no idea what the buyer is going to do with it...we learned that the hard way. 5) I'm aware of several mass producers here in the US who stockpile their runners and broker them by the metric ton to Chinese mfgs. This is not meant to be taken as nothing more than FYI

I think you have a great idea. Me and my partner started doing this all with recycled plastic. The Austin and surrounding communities have started saving their used stuff and give it to me. I donate a large amount to high schools and a few college teams. We've been doing this for a couple years now. We even have a local plastic bait company that donates their runners to us because they know we give a large portion to the young anglers. The plastics we pour is all we use. I pour senkos, brush hogs, finesse baits, flukes just to name a few. I havent bought any plastic baits in over 2 years other than swim baits and it's saved me a ton of money because we are tournament anglers also. I have VERY few anglers that buy them because they are not a "brand" name, but those that do really like them. I wish you well and hope it works out for you. In any case you are gonna save a ton of money in the long run.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Just waiting on weather conditions to clear up so I can go out and search for another microwave. Then I can start pouring!
