My son actually came up with this question last year. Are there any summer camps that are really based around fishing? I'm hoping some of you have some ideas for me.
I am not looking for the typical summer camp that happens to have a pond or stream where the campers can wet a line and maybe catch something. My son is an avid fisherman, has already caught bass, crappie, blue cats, large carp, large bull reds, black drum, flounder and more. I am just throwing this out there and wondering if anyone knows of any summer camp or something of that type that would actually be geared around fishing and have some decent education and opportunities for a boy like mine. If not, somebody needs to start one! LOL Looking forward to seeing what ideas you have to share.
Thanks, Tom

Tom, I've never heard of what you're asking for but you're right - if there are not any already in operation, someone sure needs to get that going.
Man that would have been a dream come true for me when I was growing up. Only problem is we couldn't have afforded it LOL. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Ha saw your post on 2cool but I'd highly suggest looking into Camp Bass for anyone else who might have been looking for the same thing.

TPWD does a fish camp, I think it's called the Bass Brigade
Mandy Scott out of the San Angelo office is pretty involved with it and could be a good source of information. Her number is 325-651-5556.

I would also recommend Bass Brigade. A great organization that teaches young people leadership skills all centered around fish, fishing and proper pond management. Bass Brigade
