Back in December I made a post about me getting another cat boat and I had asked for opinions on a center console versus a pontoon boat and I received some good feedback from several cat guys and I definitely appreciated all posts that were made. I had to quickly forget about the idea because my lovely wife informed me that my project would have to be delayed because she wanted to buy a new house. So we bought a new house and my plans were to upgrade to a different boat next year. Fortunately some positive things have fallen into place and my wife asked me about my project that I had in mind, I told her that I had delayed things so that we could get everything into place with the new house. She told me yesterday that there was no reason to wait a year and if I wanted to get something a little nicer than now is as good as time as any. I am truly blessed and lucky to have found such a wonderful woman! I have ruled out the pontoon and deck boats not because there are anything wrong with them but because I would like to keep the boat in my garage so I can tinker around with it anytime that I want. My house is HOA so boats are now allowed in sight of the front yard or driveway and there is no way to get it into the back yard. So now my focus is onto a center console or deep V walleye style boat. My Tuffy boat (The K-T-Mae III) has been a good boat and served its purpose very well and it will be time to part with her to make room for the (The K-T-Mae IV). I still have a budget to stay under and even though it is not much I feel confident that I can find the right boat for me even if I have to do a few things to it to make it right, that's been the case with just about every boat that I have ever owned and they have all done the job well. So wish me luck and as soon as I find my boat I will let you guys know. I know that many of you recognize my boat on Lake Worth and always pull up for a quick conversation which is always welcomed. So with all this being said Operation Get Another Cat Boat is now under way partyon

We enjoy our walleye type boat. The decision for us came down to G3 and Lund. Went with G3, but can't go wrong either way.

Good Luck on finding the right boat. What kind of boat do you have now? I am also in the market for a boat. Just haven't decided what kind yet. I have been without a boat for about 12 years now.

1984 16' Tuffy Rampage 160 XT, 40HP tiller
Nothing fancy but gets the job done, it's a Muskie boat from the north, gonna sell it as is for pretty cheap

I have a 21' Fishmaster CC and it will not even come close to fitting under a standard height garage door. Just something to consider.

If I were looking for something a little smaller I would think seriously about a deep-V aluminum such as a Lund with 4 seats in back.
