Got a couple I use. I haven't caught any crappie with them yet but have tried them a couple of times shortly with no success. Will keep trying if bored.

I've tried the Road Runner Shad Buffet Rig (just a double rig) a couple of times and have caught sand bass with it (while fishing for crappie). I haven't used it much but I may try again when the spawn is on and the fish are shallow.

Nope - don't use one, and cna't see myself ever using one. I did see something like this on that weekend DFW Outdoorsman show that is hosted by one of the Dallas Cowboys; can't recall his name. He was catching fish.

If I am going to use multiple baits, I would prefer to present them with a vertical spread rather than a cluster.
I think you will catch fish on anything you fish with so it will have some good success stories if they sell enough of them. I think they might offer a better chance for multiple hook ups in a good school.

....I can't hardly use a double jig rig in brush without getting hung up! I very seldom cast and reel a bait for crappie. Not for me.

Your not likely to get crappie with that. Your going to catch sandies and stripers. The problem with crappie in a body of water populated by sand bass is that by the time a crappie looks at a bait, sand bass already have it.

I have one but have not used it much and have not had any luck with it. I've hovered it a foot or two above COE brush piles at Ray Roberts a couple of times, then used the electric motor to slowly go from one end of the brush pile to the other. The rigs depth shows on your depth finder, so you can keep it above the brush and not tangle it in the pile. Have the rig tied to braid or strong line so if it does hang up, you can probably pull it loose by straightening out a jig hook.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Seems like they hold too tight to cover for it to be very effective especially when you do get it close enough the chances of hanging up are pretty high. Of course you could use weedless jig heads and solve that problem. I don't know. It might be useful in certain applications. I could see it working during the winte on pines for sure when you don't have to worry about getting hung up and slow troll with it.

If I am going to use multiple baits, I would prefer to present them with a vertical spread rather than a cluster. This. If I'm on fish and know how deep they are, and they are hitting decently, I really prefer using just one jig. If I'm looking for them, I'm probably not sure how deep to fish, so I'll try more than one jig, separated vertically. Of course, when fishing open water, something like that would be an alternative to spider rigging. Not my thing, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't catch some fish.

Last year we caught crappie off a point with no known structure. Post spawn with road runners. Just a simple cast, let sink for 5 seconds, and retrieve slow caught plenty fish. I could see this rig being good for that style of crappie fishing.
