 What are the best color traps on Rayburn this year?

Last year Rayburn red worked well this year is so different.Why is this?

It can change from year to year and sometimes be a dramatic change. A couple of years ago it was the White Crawfish. The next year it was Toledo Red/Gold. Or Even the infamous "BROWN EYE"! Not sure about this years color. With the water level being this higher than the past many years it will be interesting to see. I have heard of some good fish on Chrome/Blue and then also the Red. But not for me. No luck on the White Craw either. So I am still looking but do not expect a trap bite if the warm weather kicks in. They are already staging and the Red Bud and Sweet Gum trees are budding so that means the fish are there and ready to go! I have not tried a gold or copper yet though!

Maybe just maybe its more about just getting it in front of one instead of a particular color.

It has been a tough trap bite only caught one big one so far and it wasn't on red see ya at bud light tomorrow Ron

Maybe just maybe its more about just getting it in front of one instead of a particular color. +1 or at the right speed. Sometimes slower is better...

Have you tried up in the river above hwy 103 YUP. Went White Bass fishing yesterday Waaaay up river above Carols Camp. Water was 41 but the color was not that bad. White bass were very very slow. We only caught 10. I did try little bit for the Black Bass but no luck. It was really tough. Saw a few other local guys bass fishing and they had it tough also. Water was really cold for up there.

I heard about a guy painting one with pink finger nail polish catching some in that trap tourney, I think he caught more than the guy he fished with who ONLY fishes traps.
