Has anyone tried the restaurant on the water that Cove Harbor Marina re-opened recently? Cant remember the new name of it, but it used to be "Off the Hook". The Salty Dog bait house shares the bldg with it. Usually go to the Crab N, but wondering if the new place is worth a shot.

I had some oysters there about six years ago. I launched there last week. It looked busy. I'm 365 miles from Rockport. I know that none of this helps.

we'll be down there in a couple weeks, we normally eat in port-a when taking a break from fishing but have been thinking about trying this place since we launch there anyways. from what i've heard the last few times we've been down this summer, it started off so-so and the food has gotten better but service is still well below average which is about average for rockport.

Not sure about the one you mentioned but back in August me and wife was at the Fulton Harbor for a few days and there is a restaurant that is open but being remodeled call the MoonDog and I highly recommend it ! Price is average and food is good ! They have fish tacos that are fantastic , and a shrimp nachos that are best I have had ! You can sit inside by the bar or middle room where there is a breeze or out on the balcony in the open . Watch out for the seagulls , leave and your food is gone frown !

I didn't know that a new restaurant had opened up at the old "Off the Hook" location. Good to know.

As far as fried seafood Shempy's near Palm Harbor has very good food (it's BYOB, and a better than JD's Seafood). Crab-n has always been consistent though I haven't eaten there in awhile.

In Rockport I usually always visit Moon Dogs once and, like mentioned, the tacos a very good and the beers are cold and big. They just opened their new place next door.

If you're looking for nice place for you and your significant other make reservations at Glow in Rockport. Small place, pricey, but great cocktails and food.

The Chartoom and the attached Grog Bar is s nice place as well. The Grog Bar is definitely a step up from the typical dive bar'ish type places found in Rockport/Fulton and is where I head when I want to grab a drink at night.

My folks and others like Bellino's italian, but the one time I ate there it was so/so.

If you're looking for a solid burger (other than Whataburger) or a more traditional breakfast roll over to JJ's.

Mexican food for breakfast grab the tacos at Taqueria Puerto Vallarta (next to Tackle Town), but for lunch/dinner go to Los Comales, they've never let me down.

One place that I haven't been to, but really want to because it's getting great reviews, is Mermaids; it's sushi, steaks and seafood.

Will be down there in April for our annual redfish tournament. Has anyone else been to the restaurant by the Salty Dog Bait house since October? Finally looked up the name.. Paradise Key Dockside Bar and Grill. Thanks
