I didnt mean a specific place.....I meant like a lake bed, around old houses, or others??? Plus i'm nowhere close to Toledo bend..
Just looking for some tips on where to start looking.

nspanntx, you could look anyplace people hang out. Parks, shcools, playgrounds, popular swim holes, old homesites, old church grounds. The list is endless. and yes, you will find a ton of pop tops and other trash. But you have to go through the trash to get to the good stuff. That is why alot of people don't stick with it very long, they think they will find nothing but the good stuff. Hope that helps a little for ya.

I found this metal detecting about 3 years ago around the Rowlett area. Turned out to be a nickel base meteorite, I haven't found any jewelery yet but have found plenty of coins.

Buddy was out there in March last year. Hit a big wave in his boat and lost $1,500 in rods & reels. The waves were murderous even in my 22ft Stratos!! Medal detecting can be fun.. I used to do it some as a kid...
