I have an HDS10 gen 2 on a ram mount, hd7 gen 1 in console and up front all hooked to lss1
I noticed in other boats the lss2 seems to be a lot more defined
Can I just buy the lss2 transducer and hook it to box or do I need to replace the structure scan box too?

You can use the transducer straight into the old box. If you decide to sell that lss1 give me a PM with a price.

I don't have a crystal ball so I can't say for sure. I have read different preferences all over the forums. About all you can do it try it. West Marine has the lss2 ducers for $199.00 right now, $100 cheaper than everybody else.
