How can you tell how old your card is? Mine is a volume 1.19.

For the Platinum and Premium cards you go by the region letter and number. Prior to 2010 there were annual issues. For the South region: S is 2005 S2 is 2006 S3 is 2007 S4 is 2008 S5 is 2009 S6 is all after mid 2010 and are updateable. Some new products don't have a year number since they are updateable like the Navionics+ and Navionics Update

Thanks! Both of mine say S4 so I guess they are 2008. I new they were older but did not realize that old. Wonder how much different the news are?

You can view the current maps on the Navionics website's Web App.
What you see on the Web App you can get on a new card with an update.

You can view the current maps on the Navionics website's Web App. Great website, click on the Web App box, and then zoom in to your lake. Also for $10 the mobile app to you phone is a great deal. I use the phone app to mark way points I want to fish, when you do that the way points on your phone will give you Lat/Long, I then take those and enter them into my Fishfinder as waypoints that I want to fish..
