Try the main creek in 50+fow by the dam and watch out for any trees.

My brother's neighbor goes to Lewisville to catch his shad and then goes on up to RayBob to fish.
This tells me something.

You can get shad in Ray Bob but you need 1.5 per foot net and 50 to 70 feet of rope. It is even hard to get shad there in the Spring and I do fish that lake quite a bit. I have done well on Ray Bob with chicken breasts and thigh meat and Henry's Cat Juice.

shad are really deep and hard to find on lewisville right now. Cut chicken breast soaked in garlic works.
Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?
