Supposed to fish with some guys at Fin and Feather next month but they are booked up. Anybody know of a place close by? Needs to be half way decent because my wife will be fishing with me. Thanks for your help!

Contact 6 mile marina 409-579-9898 or 409-474-2555. They are down the road from fin and feather. Nice rooms, private boat ramp and electrical outlets. I stay there often. The rate w/ tax is around $80.00.

JMHO I would drive around to Cypress Bend if F & F was booked and my wife was coming along. You'll burn some fuel, but worth it in my opinion depending on the wind forecast.

South State Park on La side by the dam is a good choice as well if they have openings. Nice enough for you to bring your wife along.

http://www.toledobendbedandbreakfast.com/This place is across the street from me and is one great place to stay if you can get in there, they stay fairly booked up on weekends. Great people !

I can only recommend you continue to call the good folks up at Fin&Feather. People do cancel their existing reservations all the time and it is 'THE' place to stay and your wife I'm sure would enjoy it there. Just my 2 cents..... don't give up/keep calling!! I hope you get one there pardner.... God Bless
