What in the world does everyone do with the extra 15' of transducer cable from the trolling motor to the bow mount? I think I'm going to have to drill a hole in my deck to run it in and coil up under the front deck! Can I buy a shorter Ducer/Cable? It's an elite-5 HDI

What you first said, drill a hole someplace and figure 8 wrap the extra cable. Figure 8 is supposed to help cut down on interference, I can't swear to it though.

The other way to store the extra cable is in a bundle with parallel runs about 10"-12" long, but don't make sharp bends in the cable.

Next is to keep that bundle away from the trolling motor power wires as much as possible.
