I feel like its a process, if the water was above 55 for a time , some fish start getting ready. If u get a cold snap those fish that have started the process will still move up, no new fish will start the process. Sometimes its all falls into place in a few weeks and many move up at the same time. Cold water will stop other fish from getting ready to spawn. Not all fish do it at the same time... that's called something else. smile

I feel like some fish have started the process on Rayburn and TB already...... Oh I mean another lake u have never heard of, not Rayburn. No one says anything about fish on Rayburn, I believe that is forum rule #92.

I have a theory that some of the very biggest bass spawn at a little different temps- maybe just a degree, and a little off of the timing of the major waves. They stand a better chance of not getting caught, but still spawn shallow enough to see. Sometimes I look for these even though other fisherman look at me like I'm crazy. Generally I think they are right because I could be doing way more productive patterns, but sometimes ...!!!!
