...The only reason I see to post pictures of cooked crappie is when you are furnishing a recipe and the pictures show the cooking process and the final product...

Step 1. Catch some crappie measuring 15"+

2. Remove scales. This will be really slimey and will take a bit. Fillet the fish along spine from gills to tail. Leave the skin and ribcages in tact.

3. Combine 1/4 cup melted margarine, 1/4 cup lime juice, 1/4 cup soy sauce and a teaspoon minced ginger in a small sauce pan.

4, Baste (dowse!) fish with sauce and grill on disposable grill screens coated with Pam or similar. Grilling of the slabs should only take a couple of minutes per side, at most.

5. Take pictures to someday post on fishing forum.

6. Enjoy. Easy peasy dish that goes great with wild rice and grilled vegs. Easy on the arteries as well.

When in doubt, set the hook

That makes sense. No point in catching crappie if you don't eat them.

Alright Jacob, top this.

All fresh veggies out of the garden.

Lettuce wraps with grilled crappie, grilled green tomatoes, ripe tomatoes, 1015 onions and a grilled big Jim pepper.

Spring is near, can't wait till I start planting again.

Don't know if I can top that!

Baked Parmesan crappie, fresh purple hulls from the garden, taters, and cornbread!

I'd trade for some East Texas purple hulls. Can't beat um over cornbread.

We picked a bunch last year. If this cold weather would go away, we could plant again!
